SnapHire has taken a BYO-i (Bring Your Own Intelligence) approach.

Rather than embedding a single AI model directly into SnapHire, our SnapHire AI Hub allows you to connect SnapHire to the AI provider of your choice, giving your organisation greater flexibility, control, and future-proofing.

Every organisation has different requirements when it comes to AI, including security, governance, privacy, and risk management. A BYO approach means you can choose the AI provider that best aligns with your internal policies and preferences, rather than being locked into a single proprietary model selected by us.

It also makes AI adoption significantly easier for many organisations. Instead of needing to evaluate and approve an entirely new AI ecosystem, you can leverage AI providers your business may already trust or use internally.

AI technology is also evolving rapidly. Platforms built around a single native model can quickly become limited as newer models and capabilities emerge. By taking a flexible approach, SnapHire AI Hub can evolve alongside the market, allowing you to take advantage of improvements and innovations without waiting for major platform rebuilds.

Microsoft Copilot is primarily designed as an AI experience embedded within the Microsoft ecosystem. It is intended to operate across products such as Teams, Outlook, and the broader Microsoft 365 suite, rather than as a standalone AI model designed to integrate with external platforms such as applicant tracking systems (ATS) like SnapHire.

For organisations operating within the Microsoft environment, our recommended approach is to utilise Microsoft Azure OpenAI Services. This provides a more flexible and integration-friendly foundation for platforms such as SnapHire AI Hub, while still aligning with Microsoft’s enterprise-grade security, privacy, compliance, and governance standards.

Unlike other vendors, SnapHire will not charge additional costs or increase your hosting fee to use the AI functionality within SnapHire AI Hub. AI usage is powered through your own AI provider subscription, with usage charged directly through your provider based on token consumption.

At this stage, costs are very low, with each assessment using approximately 1,000 tokens.

Once SnapHire AI Hub has been enabled and connected to your organisation’s AI provider via a secure API key, you're in control of how and when screening kicks in. When triggered, SnapHire securely sends the candidate’s CV and the relevant job description to your connected AI model using a pre-configured prompt. The AI then analyses the information and returns insights directly into SnapHire, including:

• An overall suitability score (between 0-100)
• A summary of the candidate’s CV and experience
• A rationale explaining the score and alignment to the role

You can fit AI screening into your existing hiring process in a way that suits your team. Common approaches include:

• Screen everything on arrival – automatically score all new applications the moment candidates apply, so your team starts with a prioritised list from day one.
• Screen after an initial review – only run AI screening on applications your team has already moved to a short list, using it to validate or rank those candidates further.
• Use scores to inform manual decisions – let the AI generate a score and summary, then have your team decide what to do with each application based on that insight.
• Set score thresholds for automatic movement – define cut-off scores that automatically progress strong applications or filter out low-fit applicants, removing manual steps entirely.

The AI Hub app assesses the candidate's CV across these dimensions:

• Skills match – Compares the candidate's skills with the required and preferred skills in the job description.
• Experience relevance – Evaluates whether the candidate's work history aligns with the role in terms of responsibilities, industry, and seniority.
• Qualifications – Determines whether the candidate meets required and preferred education, certifications, or licences.
• Overall fit – Considering the above factors, determines the candidate's overall suitability.

It’s very likely that many candidates are already using AI tools to help refine or tailor their CVs and applications.

The SnapHire AI Hub is designed to assess overall alignment between a candidate’s experience and your role requirements, rather than simply matching keywords alone. This helps provide more meaningful screening insights, even when AI-assisted applications are involved.

Yes you can include an additional prompt in the AI Hub panel for each job.

We have designed our prompt architecture with security and isolation in mind. We use carefully structured instructions that separate the evaluation logic from the content being analysed, helping ensure the information processed is treated only as data to assess rather than instructions to follow. In addition to protecting against attempts to manipulate scoring outcomes, we implement safeguards aimed at reducing the risk of broader prompt injection attacks, including attempts to access, reveal, or influence information outside the scope of the evaluation (such as data exfiltration or instruction override attempts). While no system can guarantee complete protection against emerging attack techniques, our approach is designed to minimise risk and maintain fair, consistent, and privacy-conscious candidate assessments.
